Director of Operations

Robert Half is looking for an experienced Director of Operations to lead and optimize the operational functions of our client's organization. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in managing multidisciplinary teams. Based in the Philadelphia area, this position requires a strategic leader with expertise in risk management, business planning, and team development.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations and guide the Operations team, including mentoring and supervising staff such as the Operations Analyst.
• Conduct performance evaluations for Administrative Directors and other operational personnel.
• Lead the development and execution of the organization’s annual business plan by collaborating with internal stakeholders.
• Manage the risk management program, including contract review, negotiation, and coordination with external legal counsel when necessary.
• Organize and deliver training sessions for staff on topics related to risk and financial management.
• Build and maintain relationships with key external partners, including insurance brokers, carriers, legal professionals, and commercial real estate brokers.
• Direct the renewal and administration of annual insurance policies and ensure compliance with organizational standards.

Qualifications:

The ideal Director of Operations will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or Finance and/or Management. MBA preferred.

Other requirements for the Director of Operations role include and are not limited to:

• 15+ years of experience out of Construction, real estate, or engineering industry
• General experience with risk management, including insurance, legal counsel, and financial institutions 
• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, EXCEL, etc.)
• Experience interfacing with HR, IT, Finance, Marketing and Administration professionals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
