Director of Field Operations
Responsibilities:
• Direct field activities across multiple projects, aligning labor assignments and crew schedules with production goals and site demands.
• Coordinate the availability of personnel, equipment, materials, and logistics so work progresses safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Visit job sites regularly to review progress, assess execution, and identify issues that could affect timelines, quality, or performance.
• Uphold workmanship expectations and verify that field operations meet company standards, project specifications, and compliance requirements.
• Partner with internal teams on estimating, project preparation, and forecasting to support accurate planning and resource allocation.
• Guide, coach, and develop foremen and field staff to build capability, accountability, and consistent jobsite leadership.
• Oversee fleet usage and equipment readiness by supporting maintenance planning and ensuring operational assets are prepared for deployment.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, project managers, and internal stakeholders to keep projects moving smoothly.
• Resolve field challenges quickly by evaluating conditions, recommending practical solutions, and minimizing disruption to production.
• Track project costs, labor productivity, and overall operational results while contributing to improved workflows and field processes.
Qualifications:
• Background in construction, sitework, paving, athletic facilities, or a closely related field operations environment.• Demonstrated success leading teams and managing field personnel across active projects.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, schedules, and other construction-related documentation.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance priorities in both office and field settings.
• Clear communication skills and sound problem-solving ability when addressing operational issues.
• Experience using scheduling platforms, project management software, and standard business technology tools.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project locations as needed.
Compensation
