Director of Finance & Operations | Real Estate, Private Equity | San Francisco; Hybrid | Base + Bonus + Carry
Join a fast-growing real estate investment and development platform focused on transforming underutilized assets into high-performing properties in supply-constrained markets. The firm takes a hands-on, execution-driven approach, combining operational discipline, market insight, and creative structuring.
This is a high-visibility leadership role at a scaling platform where finance is central to strategy, capital formation, and growth. You’ll partner directly with senior leadership across finance, treasury, and investments, with strong compensation, bonus potential, and long-term upside.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance reporting
- Build cash flow and treasury models
- Support capital allocation and investment decision-making
- Manage liquidity, cash management, capital calls, and distributions
- Partner with lenders and internal teams on financing needs
- Support JVs, fund structures, and co-investments
- Oversee waterfalls, promotes, and distribution modeling
- Track portfolio performance and returns (IRR, equity metrics)
- Support fund launches, capital raising, and investor analysis
- Improve systems, reporting, and finance infrastructure
- Partner with legal, tax, and asset management teams
- Advise leadership on investments and strategic initiatives

Qualifications:
- 10+ years in real estate PE, investment management, FP& A, IB, or related finance roles
- Strong understanding of real estate fund structures and institutional capital
- Experience with cash flow forecasting, treasury, and capital planning
- Knowledge of waterfalls, promotes, and return metrics (IRR, equity returns)
- Experience in development, value-add, or opportunistic real estate preferred
- Strong financial modeling and communication skills
- Experience building processes and scaling infrastructure
- CPA, CFA, or MBA a plus
