Qualifications



Area Discipline Leader II (Structural-Bridge Engineering)

 

RS&H is seeking an Area Discipline Leader II to join our bridge/structural team in Colorado! In this leadership role, you will be responsible for guiding a team of bridge engineers and technicians in the successful delivery of large, complex projects while strengthening client relationships, expanding our project portfolio, and driving operational excellence. You will play a critical role in advancing business performance through effective resource management, quality delivery, operational efficiency, and profitability.

 

As Area Discipline Leader, you will:

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering an engaging, collaborative, and inclusive work environment
  • Provide technical and strategic leadership across multiple high-profile projects that support client growth and business expansion
  • Ensure project delivery meets client expectations, regulatory requirements, quality standards, schedules, and budgets
  • Partner with client managers and business development teams to identify opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and drive revenue growth
  • Lead the development and execution of winning strategies for key pursuits and major business opportunities
  • Promote operational excellence through effective resource planning, quality management, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert within the discipline and market sector

What You'll Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited program and 10+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado
  • Experience working with CDOT, local cities, and counties preferred
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and developing teams to maximize performance and professional growth
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills, with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders at all levels

Compensation

The typical salary range for this position in Denver is $151,000 to $185,000 with compensation commensurate with experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
