Staff Accountant
Our client is a well-established and growing healthcare organization seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. The Staff Accountant will play an important role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the organization's financial records. This position will have significant exposure to general ledger accounting, month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and other accounting activities supporting the organization's operations.
Staff Accountant Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day general ledger accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and other month-end adjustments
- Complete monthly account reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial reports and supporting schedules
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation and supporting schedules for balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, and other accounting functions as needed
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
- Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation to external auditors and other third parties
- Ensure accounting activities are performed in accordance with GAAP and organizational policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality and appropriately safeguard sensitive financial and organizational information
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting
- Collaborate with operational departments to research and resolve accounting-related questions and issues
- Provide additional accounting support and analysis as needed

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and GAAP
- Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency with accounting/ERP systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Compensation
$70,000.00-$85,000.00 YearlyAbout Us
