Shared Services Associate
We are helping our client who is looking for a Shared Services Associate to support key accounting operations for our manufacturing team in Collierville, Tennessee. This position contributes across several shared services functions, including expense review, vendor payments, cash activity, and payroll support. The ideal candidate brings strong bookkeeping experience, excellent accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple financial processes in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Review and validate employee expense submissions to confirm compliance, accuracy, and proper documentation before reimbursement.
• Apply incoming payments to customer accounts each day and investigate discrepancies to keep account balances accurate.
• Reconcile bank deposit activity, resolve cash posting differences, and coordinate with internal teams on payment-related questions.
• Support month-end cash balancing activities and maintain organized banking records and supporting files.
• Process accounts payable transactions by coding invoices to the correct entities, general ledger accounts, and cost centers.
• Prepare vendor and employee payments, address payment exceptions, and follow up on credits, stop payments, and related banking issues.
• Reconcile vendor statements and account activity to identify and correct outstanding items in a timely manner.
• Assist with payroll administration by entering updates, reviewing timekeeping information, auditing payroll data, and processing special or off-cycle payments as needed.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma required.• At least 2 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping, shared services, or accounting support; 3 or more years is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash applications, and bank reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform accurate audits and quality checks across financial transactions.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with internal departments and external vendors.
• Advanced Excel skills required for reporting, reconciliation, and transaction analysis.
• Experience with bookkeeping systems such as QuickBooks or similar accounting software is preferred.
Compensation
