Compensation: $36.10 to $41.80 Hourly

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations for a services organization in Orlando, Florida. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who can manage complex reconciliations, maintain the general ledger, and contribute to an efficient monthly close process. The role requires strong analytical skills, sound accounting judgment, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Lead key activities tied to the monthly close cycle, ensuring deadlines are met and financial records are complete and accurate.
• Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation and alignment to accounting standards.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by reviewing account activity, researching discrepancies, and resolving variances.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations on a recurring basis to confirm balances and identify outstanding issues.
• Complete bank reconciliations by matching transactions, investigating exceptions, and clearing unreconciled items promptly.
• Analyze financial data to support reporting accuracy and provide insight into unusual trends or account fluctuations.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to gather required information, address accounting questions, and improve reporting consistency.
• Assist with process-related accounting tasks, including updates tied to changes in financial workflows or supporting systems when needed.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in senior-level accounting work, preferably within a fast-paced services environment.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of month-end close procedures and general ledger management.
• Ability to prepare accurate journal entries and maintain well-organized supporting documentation.
• Proven experience completing account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies independently.
• Solid background in bank reconciliation activities, including research and exception handling.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet recurring deadlines, and work effectively in a contract assignment.

Compensation

$36.10-$41.80 Hourly
