Software Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to create and enhance software applications in a dynamic engineering environment in Medina, Minnesota. This role combines hands-on development with technical problem-solving, requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable desktop and full-stack solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong software design expertise, communicates clearly with technical and business stakeholders, and can help guide projects from concept through deployment and ongoing support.
Responsibilities:
• Evaluate software and data needs to shape practical solutions that align with technical objectives, schedules, and budget expectations.
• Partner with engineers, data specialists, and other stakeholders to define system behavior, performance goals, and overall application requirements.
• Design, build, and refine desktop and full-stack software applications that support customer and product needs.
• Create and maintain testing, validation, and user support documentation to promote successful implementation and knowledge transfer.
• Lead or coordinate software testing, deployment activities, and on-site commissioning efforts for customer-facing solutions.
• Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for existing applications to maintain performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and data teams to address reporting, visualization, and software functionality needs.
• Present technical ideas, recommendations, and project updates clearly to customers, leadership, and internal teams.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.• 10+ years of combined education and hands-on experience in software engineering, including at least 7 years in software design and development.
• At least 5 years of experience building applications with C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET, and Windows-based technologies such as Windows Forms or WPF.
• At least 3 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL and relational database design principles.
• Demonstrated knowledge of object-oriented analysis, object-oriented design, and modern software development practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex technical challenges.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with customers, management, and cross-functional teams.
• Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in a related field and familiarity with Entity Framework, React.js, JavaScript, and established design patterns.
Compensation
