Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a team in Glendale, California on a Contract basis for an initial 4-6 week assignment. This role will provide essential coverage during a period of extended team absences and will focus on maintaining timely, accurate invoice processing in a fast-paced environment. The position follows a standard Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is well suited for someone with hands-on accounts payable experience who can step in quickly and contribute immediately.

Responsibilities:
• Process a high volume of approximately 150-200 invoices with accuracy and attention to deadlines.
• Review, code, and enter both purchase order and non-purchase order invoices into the accounting system.
• Verify invoice details, resolve discrepancies, and ensure proper account allocation before payment.
• Support payment activities by preparing ACH transactions and assisting with scheduled check runs.
• Maintain organized accounts payable records and documentation for tracking and audit readiness.
• Work within the company's current AP software to update transactions and monitor invoice status.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to obtain approvals and clarify billing questions as needed.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of recent accounts payable experience in a business environment.
• Demonstrated ability to code invoices accurately and assign expenses to the appropriate accounts.
• Experience handling both PO and non-PO invoice processing.
• Working knowledge of ACH payments and check run procedures.
• Comfortable managing a steady invoice workload while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
• Proficiency using computerized accounting or accounts payable systems.
• Strong organizational skills and careful attention to detail.

Compensation

$20.90-$24.20 Hourly
