Billing Specialist

We are working with a growing organization seeking a Billing Specialist for a contract assignment. This position will support billing operations by generating invoices, researching discrepancies, maintaining customer accounts, and assisting with accounts receivable activities. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented and thrives in a deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute customer invoices accurately and timely.
• Review billing documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries.
• Process credits, adjustments, and account corrections as needed.
• Reconcile billing transactions and customer accounts.
• Maintain accurate billing records and supporting documentation.
• Partner with internal departments to ensure billing accuracy.
• Assist with collections and follow-up on outstanding invoices.
• Generate billing reports and support month-end close activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve billing processes and efficiencies.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of billing, accounts receivable, or related experience.
• Strong understanding of invoicing and billing processes.
• Experience researching and resolving account discrepancies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
