The IT Support Technician II's scope includes providing technical support and assistance to departments, faculty, staff, and students with the use of basic hardware and some software support and maintenance. This position will also specialize in hardware and software relevant to the department or unit.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with coursework in computer science, MIS, IT, or other related area plus one (1) year related full-time paid experience OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal five (5) years.

Major/Essential Functions
- Collaborate with other departmental and school IT staff to achieve their needs within IT OP and procedures.
- Log into phone system and is ready to receive calls.
- Ensure prompt answering of calls presented to technician in the phone system.
- Assist in the development of IT policies, procedures, and service goals.
Required Qualifications

- Experience with multiple operating systems including Microsoft Windows, Apple Macintosh.
- Recognized certification in PC Support field (Preferred CompTia A+ and Microsoft qualifications).
- Advanced experience with network domain environments.
