Grants Coordinator

Compensation: $68 to $78 Yearly

Robert Half is seeking a Grants Coordinator to support the financial and administrative activities for our non-profit client located in the Philadelphia area. This Grants Coordinator position works closely with program leadership and grants personnel to build accurate proposal budgets, manage funding requirements, and maintain strong financial oversight throughout each award period. The ideal candidate brings experience in grant accounting, compliance, and government-funded contracts, along with the ability to coordinate documentation and reporting in a timely, organized manner.


Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed grant and proposal budgets in partnership with program leaders and grants staff to align funding requests with operational needs and sponsor guidelines.
  • Gather and distribute financial records and administrative documentation needed for submissions, renewals, and sponsor follow-up requests.
  • Implement tracking practices and documentation processes that support compliance throughout the full lifecycle of each grant, including required funder portal activity.
  • Collaborate with program teams to identify spending variances, address underutilization or overages, and recommend corrective actions when needed.
  • Partner with Accounts Payable to confirm expenses are coded correctly to the proper funding sources and provide allocation guidance for shared costs.
  • Respond to questions regarding grant charging, funding assignments, and other transaction-related issues from internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

The ideal Grants Coordinator candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education. CPA preferred.


Other requirements for the Grants Coordinator position include and are not limited to:

  • 3+ years of experience in finance and with grants and contracts.
  • Non-Profit experience preferred.
  • Experience working with and understanding the requirements of Federally funded government contracts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multiple departments.
