Bookkeeper

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations in Cedar City, Utah. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping records precise, managing routine accounting tasks, and ensuring financial information is current and well organized. The Bookkeeper will contribute to accurate reporting, help maintain smooth payment processes, and assist with resolving account discrepancies as they arise.

Responsibilities:
• Record financial activity accurately and keep accounting files organized for easy reference.
• Input and classify transactions in QuickBooks to maintain up-to-date books.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including monitoring outgoing and incoming payments.
• Prepare, process, and follow up on invoices, expenses, and payment records.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and related financial statements to confirm accuracy.
• Build and update spreadsheets and routine financial reports using Microsoft Excel.
• Maintain supporting documentation for accounting entries and ensure records are complete.
• Investigate inconsistencies in financial data and assist in resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Provide additional bookkeeping and administrative support as needed to help daily operations run efficiently.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of bookkeeping experience in a detail-focused setting.
• Hands-on experience using QuickBooks for transaction entry and record maintenance.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Experience performing bank and credit card reconciliations with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking data and preparing reports.
• Ability to organize financial records and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address discrepancies accurately.

Compensation

$35,000.00-$50,000.00 Yearly
