Inventory Accounting Clerk

Job Title: Inventory Accounting Clerk Location: North Hollywood, CA Job Type: contract Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Accounting Clerk for a contract opportunity in North Hollywood. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background along with hands-on experience performing physical inventory counts and reconciling inventory records. This role requires accuracy, organization, and the ability to work collaboratively with warehouse and accounting teams to ensure inventory data is properly tracked and reported. Key Responsibilities: Perform physical counts of inventory and assist with cycle counts as needed Reconcile physical inventory results with accounting and inventory records Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies Maintain accurate inventory documentation and reporting Assist with inventory adjustments, journal entries, and account reconciliations Support month-end close activities related to inventory accounting Work closely with operations, warehouse, and accounting staff to ensure inventory accuracy Review transactions affecting inventory, including receipts, transfers, and usage Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls Qualifications: Prior experience in inventory accounting, accounting clerk, or related accounting role Strong understanding of inventory processes and account reconciliation Experience conducting physical inventory counts required Accounting background with knowledge of debits, credits, and inventory adjustments Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/inventory systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Preferred Skills: Experience with ERP or inventory management systems Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to communicate effectively with multiple departments Schedule: contract position; schedule to be determined based on business needs.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse counting, or related stockroom operations.
• Working knowledge of physical inventory processes, inventory tracking, annual counts, and reconciliation practices.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to review work carefully and maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Experience using handheld scanners or similar tools to count, verify, and document inventory in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift and move materials, dismantle pallets, and rebuild loads safely during counting activities.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse with racking systems, stacked inventory, and a fast-paced daily workflow.
• Availability to work a 6-week Contract assignment, including occasional weekend hours when required.
• Supervisory experience and Spanish-English communication skills are highly valued for lead-level candidates.

Compensation

$22.96-$28.00 Hourly
