AML/BSA Manager (contract)

Compensation: $60 Hourly

We are looking for an experienced AML/BSA Manager to guide teams handling financial crimes compliance work. This Long-term Contract position calls for a hands-on leader who can direct investigative operations, maintain high-quality case outcomes, and keep teams aligned with delivery goals. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of AML/BSA practices, sound judgment in escalation decisions, and the ability to coach investigators in a fast-paced banking compliance environment.

This is a 12-month contract position

100% ONSITE in Coppell, Texas for the first 5-6 weeks of training, then a hybrid work schedule of 3 days a week in the office in Coppell, TX and 2 days a week work remotely.


AML/BSA Manager (contract position):

Responsibilities:

• Direct investigators and senior investigators across concurrent financial crimes assignments, ensuring work is completed accurately and on schedule.

• Coach team members through regular feedback, performance discussions, and day-to-day guidance to strengthen investigative quality and consistency.

• Oversee workload distribution, case aging, attendance trends, and timeline adherence to support operational targets.

• Lead recurring team sessions, calibrations, and review meetings to address challenges, align decision-making, and improve performance.

• Manage case assignment activity within the client’s workflow tools and adjust resources based on volume and priority.

• Evaluate complex escalations before submission, applying sound judgment to support appropriate reporting recommendations.

• Review a daily portfolio of approximately 10 to 12 cases and finalize decisions in line with quality standards.

• Analyze quality control findings and decision-testing results to identify underlying issues and drive corrective actions.

• Prepare and review reports, metrics, and project updates for stakeholders while promoting a collaborative and accountable team environment.


Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience leading or supervising teams in compliance, risk, financial crimes, or a related environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in AML/BSA, transaction monitoring, investigative work, or financial crimes typologies.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in financial services, investigations, law enforcement, or a similar field.
• Strong understanding of AML/BSA concepts, alert review processes, and suspicious activity escalation practices.
• Ability to recognize red flags involving cash-heavy businesses, peer-to-peer payments, card activity, and personal wire transactions.
• Advanced analytical and research skills, with the ability to detect unusual patterns within large data sets.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and data analysis tools, along with strong written case documentation skills.
• Certifications in AML, compliance, or investigations are preferred.

Compensation

$60.00-$60.00 Hourly
