AML/KYC Analyst
Responsibilities:
• Conduct investigations related to potential money laundering, fraud, terrorist financing, and other external financial crime concerns across assigned business areas.
• Manage casework from initial review through resolution, ensuring documentation is thorough and productivity and quality expectations are consistently achieved.
• Prepare clear, accurate suspicious activity reports for escalation to regulatory authorities or law enforcement when warranted.
• Summarize investigative findings for leadership and key stakeholders, highlighting possible compliance, operational, or financial crime risks.
• Collaborate with financial crimes teams and business partners to gather information, resolve alerts, and move investigations to conclusion.
• Support investigative operations through activities such as quality review, guidance sharing, training assistance, monitoring feedback, and law enforcement coordination when needed.
• Contribute input to scenario refinement, control effectiveness reviews, and testing efforts that strengthen investigative processes.
• Use tools such as Microsoft Excel and related systems to organize case data, analyze information, and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required.• At least 2 years of experience in AML, fraud, KYC, risk, compliance, or a related financial crimes environment.
• Working knowledge of anti-money laundering principles, investigative procedures, and regulatory reporting expectations.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear case summaries and formal investigative documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working within case management or monitoring environments.
• Ability to type at least 5,000 alphanumeric keystrokes per hour with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage routine to moderately complex investigations independently.
