Plant Controller

Compensation: $150 to $170 Yearly

We are looking for an experienced Plant Controller to lead financial oversight for a manufacturing operation in Tennessee. This role will manage core plant accounting activities, support sound business decisions through clear financial reporting, and partner with leadership to improve operational performance. The ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing accounting expertise, a practical problem-solving mindset, and the ability to communicate financial results effectively.


Responsibilities:

• Direct daily financial activities for the plant, ensuring accurate oversight of accounting operations across the facility.

• Manage product costing processes, including standard cost methodology, variance analysis, and manufacturing cost reporting.

• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to maintain timely processing and strong financial controls.

• Lead the month-end close process and prepare complete, reliable financial statements for plant and company leadership.

• Present monthly financial results to stakeholders, explaining trends, risks, and performance drivers in a clear and confident manner.

• Analyze operating results and cost data to identify issues, recommend corrective actions, and support profitability goals.

• Partner with plant leadership to strengthen budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making through actionable financial insight.

• Maintain compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies within the plant environment.



Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of direct experience in a Plant Controller or similar manufacturing finance role.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field; additional relevant credentials are a plus.

• Demonstrated background in manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costing and variance analysis.

• Hands-on experience with month-end close and preparation of monthly financial reporting.

• Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes within a manufacturing setting.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high level of attention to detail.

• Effective presentation and communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to varied audiences.



Compensation

$150,000.00-$170,000.00 Yearly
