Director of Finance

We are looking for an experienced Director of Finance to lead financial planning and performance management for a manufacturing operation in Mills River, North Carolina. This role will guide budgeting, oversee close activities, and deliver accurate reporting that supports business decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, analytical rigor, and the ability to improve financial visibility across operations.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and coordination of the annual operating budget, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational priorities.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities to maintain timely and accurate financial results.
• Prepare and present financial reports, analyses, and performance insights to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.
• Manage cash flow forecasting processes and monitor liquidity to help maintain sound financial operations.
• Direct budgeting cycles and forecasting activities, identifying risks, trends, and opportunities for improved financial performance.
• Partner closely with manufacturing and operational leaders to evaluate costs, support planning, and strengthen financial controls.
• Establish and refine finance processes that improve reporting accuracy, consistency, and efficiency across the organization.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role such as Director of Finance, VP of Finance, or a comparable position.
• Strong background in annual budgeting, forecasting, and broader financial planning processes.
• Demonstrated expertise in overseeing month-end close and producing reliable financial statements and reports.
• Experience developing cash flow projections and managing financial performance in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to translate complex financial information into clear recommendations for business leaders.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.

Compensation

$150,000.00-$225,000.00 Yearly
