AML/KYC Analyst
Responsibilities:
• Review AML/KYC cases to identify unusual activity, potential compliance concerns, and indicators of financial crime.
• Analyze customer and transactional information to determine whether matters should be escalated or referred for regulatory filing consideration.
• Prepare concise, well-supported case summaries that clearly document findings, rationale, and recommended next steps.
• Apply knowledge of money laundering typologies and risk controls when assessing alerts, investigations, and account activity.
• Use Excel and data analysis techniques to organize information, evaluate trends, and support investigative decision-making.
• Participate fully in the required training program and quickly apply new procedures, quality standards, and workflow expectations.
• Support quality review activities, where applicable, by evaluating completed investigations for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to compliance requirements.
• Maintain accurate candidate or case-related documentation in designated tracking tools and follow established file naming and recordkeeping standards.
• Join virtual meetings and interviews as needed through Microsoft Teams and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the engagement.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree plus at least 1 year of experience in AML, risk, or compliance and 3 years of broader business or functional experience for investigator-level consideration.• Candidates considered for quality review responsibilities should bring similar core qualifications along with 5 years of business or functional experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of anti-money laundering concepts, KYC principles, and common financial crime typologies.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to work with data to support investigative analysis and reporting.
• Clear and thorough writing skills with the ability to present findings in a concise, decision-ready format.
• Sound judgment when making escalation recommendations and evaluating whether case activity may warrant regulatory reporting.
• Availability to attend training with no planned time off during the approximately five-week onboarding period.
• Willingness to complete criminal and education screening and to disclose outside investment accounts in accordance with applicable compliance policies.
Compensation
