Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant in Middlesex County, NJ. In this role you will be responsible for bank reconciliations, balance sheets, cost accounting, financial reporting, and more. If you are looking to grow your career, this might be the opportunity for you! 

Responsibilities:

• Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain up-to-date financial records.

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

• Perform cost accounting tasks by analyzing product costs, monitoring financial impact, and supporting profitability visibility across the business.

• Support the monthly close process by preparing entries, reviewing account activity, and assisting with timely financial reporting.

• Maintain and review bill of materials information to support accurate product costing and accounting records.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

• Hands-on knowledge of journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close activities.

• Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting principles.

• Proficiency in Excel, including the ability to use VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables for analysis and reconciliation.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
