Software Test Engineer

We are seeking a Contract Software Test Engineer in Huntsville, AL office. This role will support testing of software products including analysis tools, simulations, mission planning applications, and mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform automated, integration, manual, and formal qualification testing
• Develop and maintain test frameworks, infrastructure, and automation solutions
• Support test planning, strategy, design, and execution
• Review and generate test and engineering documentation
• Collaborate closely with developers and engineering teams
• Support software fielding, maintenance, and product quality efforts

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field
• 12+ years of relevant experience
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
• Experience testing software on complex, multidisciplinary programs
• Proven background in automated software testing
• Programming experience in C#/.NET, C, C++, Java, Python, or Ruby
• Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• UI test automation experience
• Familiarity with standards such as IEEE 12207, CMMI, MIL-STD-882E, DO-178C, DO-278, or RMF
• Experience with CI/CD, containerization, and microservices
• Knowledge of embedded systems, hardware/software integration, MBSE, or SysML
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, mission systems, or Agile/Scrum
