Embedded Software Engineer
We are seeking a Contract Embedded Software Engineer to support the design, development, and integration of embedded airborne system software within a defined technical area. This role will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, coding, peer reviews, unit testing, and subsystem integration.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required, or ability to obtain
- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems development
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as VxWorks, Integrity, or FreeRTOS
- Proficiency with embedded processors and microcontrollers, including ARM Cortex, RISC-V, or similar architectures
- Experience with embedded debugging tools such as JTAG and oscilloscopes
- Experience with modern software development practices, including Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and test automation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing large-scale, high-performance embedded systems with a high level of determinism
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Compensation
