Donor Operations & Community Associate

Part-Time | 25 Hours/Week | Santa Cruz County

Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Associate to support fundraising, donor stewardship, grants, workplace campaigns, and community engagement initiatives.

Reporting directly to senior leadership, this role will serve as a key resource for donor operations, CRM management, gift processing, grant development, fundraising reporting, and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage donor CRM, including gift processing, pledges, sponsorships, acknowledgments, and data integrity.
  • Research, prepare, and submit grant proposals and funding applications while managing reporting deadlines and compliance.
  • Coordinate workplace giving campaigns, sponsorships, and donor engagement activities.
  • Build relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers, employers, and community partners.
  • Support fundraising campaigns, community events, presentations, and organizational initiatives.
  • Generate fundraising reports and assist with donation reconciliation and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and volunteers to support broader fundraising and community engagement goals.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, grants management, nonprofit administration, or a related field.
  • Associate's/Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with CRM or donor database systems.
  • Strong writing, grant writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based software.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum two years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, grants management, nonprofit administration, or related field.
  • Experience managing CRM or donor database systems.
  • Strong written communication and grant writing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.



Compensation

$24.00-$27.00 Hourly
