Senior Accountant | Investment Firm | San Francisco | Base + Bonus + Profit Sharing
Join a leading global private investment firm in a highly visible role supporting complex GP and partner investment structures. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and collaborate across accounting, tax, legal, and investor relations, providing broad exposure beyond traditional fund accounting.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to deepen their private markets experience while gaining exposure to partner reporting, investment structures, and GP operations. The team also values automation, AI, and process improvement, giving you the opportunity to help modernize reporting and workflows.
Responsibilities
- Support administration and reporting for GP and LP investment interests
- Prepare and reconcile capital calls, distributions, transfers, and capital account activity
- Support quarterly and year-end reporting across domestic and international entities
- Track deferred compensation, fee waivers, elections, and private investment allocations
- Coordinate new investment activity and related documentation
- Partner with internal teams and third-party administrators on investment matters
- Maintain reporting tools, controls, and data accuracy
- Drive automation, AI, and process improvements

Qualifications:
- 4-7 years of experience in alternative investments, fund/GP accounting, finance, operations, or public accounting
- Big 4 experience strongly preferred
- Experience with private funds, partnership accounting, or complex investment structures
- Understanding of GP/LP structures and capital account activity
- Strong Excel and financial systems skills
- Experience with automation, AI tools, or data analytics preferred
- Geneva experience is a plus
- Highly detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable working with confidential, senior-level matters
