The University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine (UPSDM) invites applications for an appointment stream, non-tenure, faculty position in the Department of Dental Anesthesiology at the Assistant Professor level. The candidate must have a DDS or DMD degree and a general practice residency or equivalent. The candidate must possess or be eligible to obtain an appropriate license for clinical practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, demonstrable experience with treating special needs dental patients, and an interest in mentoring.
We are seeking an outstanding individual with excellent leadership skills to contribute to all aspects of our enterprise, including clinical practice, our educational programs, and the research impact of our institution. The primary responsibilities will include leading and contributing to the vision of the Department, didactic, and clinical instruction of students and residents, scholarly activities, interdisciplinary care, and participation in the delivery of excellent dental care to patients with special needs. Participation in the faculty practice is also encouraged. Favorable consideration will be given to those with collaborative leadership skills and a commitment to educating the next generation of dental providers. Salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications, experience, and credentials
