Office Assistant
Responsibilities:
• Welcome candidates upon arrival, confirm their identity, and guide them through the check-in process with courtesy.
• Conduct test center security procedures, including screening protocols and the use of handheld security devices when required.
• Observe exam sessions through regular room checks and active monitoring to help maintain compliance and a secure testing environment.
• Respond promptly to candidate concerns, resolve routine issues when possible, and escalate exceptions in a timely manner.
• Support basic troubleshooting for testing equipment and candidate workstations to minimize disruptions during exam delivery.
• Handle sensitive testing materials and records with care, ensuring all procedures are followed to protect exam integrity.
• Complete administrative support tasks during slower testing periods, including scanning, clerical work, and general front desk assistance.
• Document incidents accurately and report any activity that falls outside established testing standards or policies.
• Assist with fingerprint scanning and other identity verification steps when those procedures apply at the site.
• Help with light equipment handling, packing, unpacking, and other operational tasks needed to keep the office and testing areas ready for use.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional college coursework is helpful.
• At least 1 year of face-to-face customer service experience in settings such as retail, hospitality, restaurant, or similar environments is required.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with candidates, coworkers, and site leadership.
• Comfortable working in a busy, process-driven environment that requires multitasking and sound judgment.
• Proficiency with Windows-based computer systems and common office applications, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and web browsers.
• Able to prepare accurate written notes, reports, and correspondence related to daily operations and candidate interactions.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, walk frequently, remain standing or seated for extended periods, and lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
• Capable of moving through testing rooms regularly, monitoring screens and camera views, and working safely around office and lab equipment in tight spaces.
Saturdays are required.
Compensation
