Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support day-to-day receivables activity for a growing team. This contract-to-permanent position is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing billing, applying payments accurately, and following up on outstanding commercial accounts. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to efficient cash flow operations while working in a fast-paced accounting environment.

Responsibilities:
• Process customer invoices accurately and on schedule while maintaining complete billing records.
• Apply incoming payments to the appropriate accounts and resolve discrepancies that affect account balances.
• Monitor aged receivables and conduct commercial collections through consistent follow-up with customers.
• Reconcile account activity to ensure cash postings, open balances, and payment details are correct.
• Investigate payment issues and coordinate with internal teams to address billing or account concerns promptly.
• Maintain organized documentation related to receivables transactions, collections activity, and account updates.
• Assist with routine accounts receivable reporting to support visibility into outstanding balances and cash activity.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in accounts receivable or a closely related accounting support role.
• Practical knowledge of billing processes, cash application, and receivables account maintenance.
• Experience handling commercial collections with a detail-oriented and customer-focused approach.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when posting payments and reviewing account information.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• Comfortable communicating with customers and internal stakeholders regarding account status and payment issues.
• Proficiency with standard accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

Compensation

$24.00-$28.00 Hourly
