Benefits Analyst
Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily benefits administration for approximately 950 employees, handling new enrollments, eligibility updates, life event changes, coverage elections, and terminations.
• Coordinate the annual open enrollment cycle, including employee outreach, election tracking, and timely completion of required actions during the enrollment period.
• Guide employees through available benefit offerings and ensure they understand plan choices, deadlines, and enrollment requirements.
• Proactively contact employees with incomplete or missing benefit selections to help finalize accurate elections within established timeframes.
• Deliver responsive support on benefits-related inquiries, explaining eligibility rules, coverage details, and next steps in a clear and thorough manner.
• Review and reconcile monthly carrier invoices against enrollment records and payroll data, resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate billing.
• Support administration across a range of benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and other employer-sponsored plans in both fully insured and self-funded environments.
• Handle benefits processes tied to union employee groups, including coordination with applicable union plans, pension-related matters, and dues-related requirements.
• Assist with audits, reporting, data validation, and other benefits administration projects, including work within ADP Workforce Now when applicable.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in benefits administration, benefits analysis, or a closely related compensation and benefits role.• Demonstrated knowledge of employee benefit programs, including health, welfare, disability, life, and retirement plans.
• Experience supporting union-represented employees and interpreting benefit-related provisions connected to union contracts.
• Strong background in invoice reconciliation, enrollment auditing, and resolving discrepancies between benefit carriers, payroll, and internal records.
• Familiarity with leave and benefits coordination, including exposure to FMLA-related processes.
• Ability to explain benefit options clearly and provide high-quality service to employees across varying levels of benefits knowledge.
• Experience using HRIS or benefits platforms such as ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities in a contract role.
