Accounting Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial and purchasing activities for a Contract position based in West Palm Beach, Florida. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys working with invoices, purchase orders, and spreadsheet-based reporting in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong accuracy, comfort with data entry, and the ability to help monitor inventory levels so materials are reordered at the right time.

Responsibilities:
• Review and process purchase orders with a high level of accuracy and timeliness.
• Enter financial and operational data into the company's accounting platform while maintaining organized records.
• Support accounts payable activities, including invoice handling and matching documentation to transactions.
• Use Excel to analyze and organize information, with tools such as VLOOKUPs and PivotTables serving as a strong advantage.
• Assist with monthly inventory count activities and help track minimum stock levels to support timely replenishment.
• Coordinate ordering needs for materials such as chemicals and wiring based on inventory requirements.
• Help maintain accurate accounting and inventory information by identifying and resolving data discrepancies.
• Perform occasional lifting of supplies or materials weighing up to 25 pounds as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in an Accounting Clerk or similar accounting support role.
• Background in accounts payable; exposure to accounts receivable is also beneficial.
• Proficiency in data entry with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Working knowledge of Excel; experience with VLOOKUPs and PivotTables is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with invoice processing and general accounting procedures.
• Ability to learn new accounting software quickly, including proprietary systems.
• Comfortable assisting with inventory-related tasks and understanding reorder points or minimum stock levels.

Compensation

$19.95-$23.10 Hourly
