Accounting Coordinator

We are looking for an Accounting Coordinator to support day-to-day financial operations for a construction-focused organization in San Leandro, California. This position plays an important role in keeping billing, payment tracking, and financial records accurate and up to date. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing high-volume transactional work in a fast-paced office environment.

• Responsibilities:
• Track overdue customer balances and proactively follow up on outstanding payments
• Resolve payment delays, billing issues, and collection obstacles to improve cash flow
• Maintain regular communication with clients and keep detailed records of collection efforts
• Investigate disputed invoices and coordinate timely resolution
• Process and issue lien waivers and related construction documents
• Partner with payroll to obtain and track certified payroll submissions from subcontractors
• Compile and provide financial records and supporting documents for audits
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial planning activities
• Support invoicing and billing processes as needed
• Review project financial activity and ensure documentation is properly recorded
• Collaborate with the Contracts team to maintain accurate project notes and records
• Provide accounting and administrative support across project and finance functions
• Perform additional special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related business field preferred
• Minimum of two years of hands-on accounting experience
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with COINS is beneficial
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to accuracy and detail
• Proven ability to evaluate financial data, identify trends, and solve problems effectively

Compensation

$68,000.00-$70,000.00 Yearly
