Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a manufacturing organization supporting invoice and vendor payment operations. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is well suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, enjoys working through high-volume transactions, and can maintain accuracy while managing competing priorities. In this role, you will partner with internal teams and external vendors to keep accounts payable activities moving efficiently and in line with payment terms.

Responsibilities:
• Manage end-to-end accounts payable activities, including reviewing, coding, batching, and entering invoices for processing.
• Route invoices to the appropriate stakeholders when additional review or authorization is needed to keep approvals on track.
• Coordinate with service and parts teams to resolve issues and help ensure vendor invoices are completed within established payment timelines.
• Compare vendor invoices to purchase orders and supporting records to confirm accuracy before payment is released.
• Reconcile vendor statements and related account activity to identify discrepancies and support accurate balances.
• Process a high daily volume of parts invoices with strong attention to detail and consistent turnaround.
• Investigate invoice exceptions, pricing differences, and other payment-related questions to support timely resolution.
• Contribute to broader accounting operations as needed, providing dependable support across departmental tasks.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of accounts payable experience, including invoice coding, reconciliation, and payment support.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with Excel and Word, including sorting, basic formulas, and day-to-day spreadsheet use.
• Experience handling high-volume invoice entry with strong accuracy and organizational discipline.
• Working knowledge of inventory-related transactions, parts purchasing, or purchase order matching.
• Ability to analyze invoice and account data, prioritize multiple assignments, and work independently when needed.
• Strong computer proficiency, with experience using Office applications and ERP systems such as Dynamics SL.
• Collaborative communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Compensation

$25.65-$29.70 Hourly
