Procurement Specialist

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to support purchasing operations for a manufacturing environment around New Ulm, Minnesota. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can manage sourcing activities, maintain strong supplier relationships, and keep purchasing workflows moving efficiently. The person in this role will help ensure materials and services are obtained on time, at competitive terms, and in alignment with business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day purchasing activities by creating, reviewing, and processing purchase orders for materials and services.

• Work with internal teams to understand demand, align purchasing priorities, and support smooth procurement operations.

• Source products and vendors by comparing pricing, availability, quality, and delivery commitments.

• Negotiate contract terms and purchasing agreements to help achieve cost-effective and reliable supply arrangements.

• Monitor order status and supplier performance to address delays, discrepancies, or fulfillment issues quickly.

• Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and system data to support reporting and audit readiness.

• Assist with broader buying processes, including vendor communication, approvals, and follow-up on open requests.

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting corporate procurement activities within a business or manufacturing setting.
• Working knowledge of purchase order management and standard buying procedures.
• Ability to coordinate multiple procurement functions while maintaining accuracy and timely follow-through.
• Background in supplier discussions, pricing reviews, and contract negotiations.
• Strong communication skills for working effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

$27.00-$33.00 Hourly
