Attorney/Lawyer

We are looking for a motivated Attorney/Lawyer to join a legal team in Tysons, Virginia in a contract capacity with the potential to become permanent. Responsibilities:

• Handle civil litigation matters by supporting case development from initial evaluation through resolution.

• Prepare, revise, and file legal motions, memoranda, and other court-related documents with accuracy and attention to deadlines.

• Conduct legal research and develop persuasive written arguments for briefs and related filings.

• Manage discovery activities, including drafting requests, reviewing responses, and organizing case materials.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and legal team members to assess case strategy and recommend next steps.

• Monitor court schedules, procedural requirements, and filing deadlines to keep matters progressing efficiently.

• Participate in hearings, case conferences, and other litigation proceedings as needed.

• Maintain thorough documentation and ensure case files are updated, organized, and ready for review.

Qualifications:

• Active license to practice law in good standing.
• At least 2 years of experience working on civil litigation matters.
• Demonstrated ability to draft motions, briefs, and other legal filings independently.
• Practical experience handling discovery and reviewing case-related documentation.
• Strong legal research, analytical thinking, and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-moving legal environment.
• Sound judgment and attention to detail when handling confidential and sensitive information.

Compensation

$45.00-$50.00 Hourly
