Bookkeeper

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to support a CPA firm in the upstate.

This contract to hire opportunity is ideal for someone who is confident managing day-to-day bookkeeping functions while maintaining accuracy in payroll tax and quarterly tax activities. The role requires someone who is highly organized and can contribute quickly and work effectively with established accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage routine bookkeeping tasks and maintain accurate financial records for client or firm accounts.

• Prepare and file payroll tax documents with close attention to deadlines and compliance requirements.

• Complete quarterly tax-related work and support timely reporting cycles.

• Process in-house payroll activities and verify the accuracy of employee payment records.

• Use QuickBooks to record transactions, reconcile accounts, and maintain organized financial data.

• Support preparation of individual tax return information and assist with related documentation.

Additional Information:

40 hours per week

Over-time pay eligible during tax season

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a closely related accounting role.

• Hands-on experience with payroll tax processing and quarterly tax reporting.

• Proficiency with QuickBooks in a bookkeeping environment.

• Familiarity with individual tax return support and related financial documentation.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
