1+ Year Litigation Attorney - Workers Compensation

We are looking for a motivated junior associate attorney with at least one year of litigation experience to join a workers’ compensation practice in Phoenix, Arizona. This hybrid opportunity is well suited for an Arizona-licensed lawyer, or an attorney planning a relocation, who is interested in learning, or building deeper experience in, this area of law. The firm is open to candidates who bring strong litigation fundamentals and are eager to develop their workers’ compensation knowledge in a growth-oriented setting.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in workers’ compensation matters from initial case assessment through resolution.

• Prepare and file legal motions, briefs, and other advocacy materials with accuracy and attention to deadlines.

• Manage discovery activities, including drafting requests, reviewing responses, and organizing supporting evidence.

• Conduct legal research and apply relevant statutes, case law, and procedural rules to active matters.

• Appear in hearings, conferences, and related proceedings while advocating effectively on behalf of clients.

• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to move cases forward efficiently in a hybrid work environment.

• Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case strategy, developments, and next steps.

Qualifications:

• Active license to practice law in Arizona, or eligibility and willingness to waive into AZ (UBE) and relocate to Arizona at personal expense.

• At least 1 year of experience practicing as an attorney, with exposure to civil litigation matters.

• Demonstrated ability to draft motions, briefs, and other legal filings independently.

• Experience handling discovery tasks and managing case details in a deadline-driven setting.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present arguments clearly.

• Interest in workers’ compensation law; prior experience in this practice area is helpful but not required.

• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid arrangement while maintaining productivity and professionalism.

Compensation

$90,000.00-$180,000.00 Yearly
