Attorney/Lawyer
Responsibilities:
• Lead commercial real estate purchase and sale transactions from initial strategy discussions through final closing.
• Prepare, revise, and negotiate key deal documents, including letters of intent, purchase agreements, amendments, and ancillary transaction materials.
• Direct due diligence efforts by evaluating title, survey, zoning, environmental, and organizational documents to identify issues that may affect the transaction.
• Advise clients on legal exposure, business considerations, and practical options for resolving transaction-related risks.
• Review and negotiate property-related documentation such as title commitments, easements, leases, and survey matters.
• Coordinate effectively with clients, lenders, brokers, title professionals, and opposing counsel to keep transactions moving on schedule.
• Draft and examine closing packages to support accurate execution and successful completion of deals.
• Provide guidance on entity formation, authority documentation, and transaction structure in support of real estate investments and financing arrangements.
• Handle multiple active matters at once while maintaining responsiveness, organization, and attention to deadlines.
• Offer support and guidance to entry-level legal team members and staff when appropriate.
Qualifications:
• Active license to practice law in Texas with membership in good standing.• At least 5 years of experience handling real estate transactional matters, particularly commercial acquisitions and dispositions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage sophisticated transactions independently, including negotiation, documentation, and closing coordination.
• Strong background in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and related real estate documents.
• Knowledge of title, survey, leasing, finance, and due diligence issues affecting commercial property transactions.
• Experience working with developers, institutional investors, lenders, or other commercial real estate stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and client relationship management skills.
• Familiarity with joint venture structures, mezzanine financing, construction lending, or portfolio transactions is strongly preferred.
Compensation
