Responsibilities
You'll run NWN's day-to-day cash operations, own the weekly thirteen-week cash flow forecast, and own the working capital model that our senior and executive leadership teams use to make real decisions about capital deployment. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports today: what you'll manage is processes, programs, and external relationships, the forecast cycle, the working capital model, the disbursement process, and NWN's day-to-day banking partnerships. As the function scales, this seat may grow to include direct reports, but that is not the basis on which we're hiring. We're looking for someone who arrives competent at financial modeling and end-to-end process ownership, and who wants to grow into the banking, debt, and capital-markets side of treasury, with direct exposure to CFO-level and private-equity-sponsor-level work along the way. The focus of the role is on modeling, forecasting, and analysis, along with treasury and cash operations. You'll report to and be developed by the leader of the treasury function, and you'll work directly with Accounting, FP&A, AP/AR, Tax, Legal, Sales, and Operations.
- Own the weekly thirteen-week cash flow forecast, the full cycle, its accuracy, and its continuous improvement, in partnership with FP&A
- Own the working capital model used by senior leadership, including DSO, DPO, and inventory drivers, scenario analysis, and the narrative that explains what changed and why
- Provide daily cash positioning across all bank accounts, including monitoring balances, movements, and short-term liquidity needs
- Administer bank accounts, signatories, and user access controls across banking platforms
- Run a proactive disbursements process that optimizes DPO without straining vendor relationships
- Own treasury policies, procedures, and controls, documenting them and driving them toward greater efficiency as the function scales
- Serve as a day-to-day contact for our commercial banking partners, growing into primary relationship ownership
- Support quarterly covenant reporting, debt compliance packages, and borrowing base or revolver draw mechanics
- Prepare materials and analysis supporting the CFO's interactions with lending banks and private equity sponsors
- Support treasury workstreams within M&A activity, integrations, and other special projects
- Drive systems and automation projects that reduce manual effort across cash, AP, AR, and cash application
- Collaborate with the broader Managed Services team to identify recurring issues, service improvement opportunities, automation candidates, and proactive recommendations for customer environments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field
- Four or more years of experience in a role where you worked with cash, financial models, or transactional finance processes; for example, treasury, cash management, FP&A, accounting, audit, commercial or corporate banking, credit analysis, or AR/AP operations
- Strong Excel skills, including the ability to build and troubleshoot a model, not just maintain one
- Evidence that you've built a financial model from scratch, not only maintained one you inherited
- Evidence that you've owned a recurring close, forecast, or reporting process end to end
- Demonstrated ability to drive an outcome across teams that didn't report to you, through influence rather than authority
- Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain a complex analysis simply to a senior audience
- Strong attention to detail alongside sound judgment about which details matter
- Self-direction in an environment where the process may not exist yet
- Comfort building working relationships across functions, including with people who don't work in finance
- Demonstrated comfort with adopting emerging AI tools and technologies to optimize processes, improve collaboration, and drive operational effectiveness.
The following qualifications are ideal, but not required:
- Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, or ServiceNow
- Exposure to a private-equity-backed or leveraged environment, or to bank covenant reporting
- Experience automating or meaningfully streamlining a recurring finance process
- Familiarity with treasury workstations, banking portals, or cash application tooling
- Progress toward CTP or CPA
