Technical Product Manager
Technical Product Manager is responsible for leading the creation, development, deployment, and ongoing lifecycle management of marketing products, offers, promotions, and related technical capabilities within the entertainment/video industry.
Serving as a critical liaison between Marketing and IT, the Technical Product Manager translates business and marketing objectives into clear, actionable technical requirements that can be understood and implemented across IT systems and applications. This individual will work at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution, helping determine how products, promotions, offers, and rate changes are configured within backend systems and ultimately represented across customer and agent-facing experiences.
Job Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Serve as a primary liaison between Marketing/business stakeholders and IT, translating business objectives into clear, actionable technical requirements and system components.
- Partners with internal clients across Product Management, Marketing, Strategy, Sales Operations, Customer Care, IT, Engineering, Architecture, Legal, and other business functions to understand objectives and develop appropriate technical solutions.
- Work with technical and non-technical partners to bring consumer and agent marketing strategies, products, offers, promotions, and campaigns to life.
- Lead complex programs and projects that may span multiple business units and may not follow a repeatable framework.
- Manage areas of responsibility within enterprise-wide IT enhancement initiatives supporting marketing campaigns, product launches, promotions, offers, and lifecycle changes.
- Lead the implementation and ongoing lifecycle management of products, promotions, offers, rate changes, and associated system capabilities across the streaming client’s portfolio of services.
- Manage approximately 2–4 projects quarterly while balancing multiple workstreams, stakeholders, priorities, and deadlines.
- Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements through the creation and refinement of features, user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation, and other requirements artifacts.
- Define and refine complex offer attributes, variables, business rules, and technical requirements associated with marketing requests.
- Lead requirements-gathering sessions and stakeholder discussions to understand business objectives, identify dependencies, resolve questions, and obtain necessary approvals.
- Facilitate the development and submission of technical requirements to downstream IT and catalog/configuration teams responsible for implementation.
- Participate as a subject matter expert in solutioning discussions, helping business partners and technical teams determine appropriate approaches for achieving business objectives.
- Partner with Architecture, Engineering, application teams, and other IT subject matter experts to evaluate technical solutions, system impacts, dependencies, and implementation requirements.
- Support backend IT configuration and development activities that ultimately drive functionality presented through customer, agent, ordering, and other front-end experiences.
- Partner with testing and validation teams to ensure implemented solutions perform as intended across applicable front-end experiences and business processes.
- Gain alignment and communicate product, promotion, offer, and technical requirements across Strategy, Marketing, IT, Engineering, Customer Care/Sales Operations, Legal, and other stakeholder organizations.
- Manage cross-functional teams through requirements gathering, solution development, implementation, validation, launch, and ongoing lifecycle management.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and quarterly PI Planning activities.
- Utilize Agile methodologies and tools, including JIRA and/or JIRA Align, to manage requirements, dependencies, priorities, and delivery activities.
- Conduct ongoing risk analysis, identify roadblocks and dependencies, recommend alternative solutions, and influence decisions necessary to maintain project momentum.
- Provide continuing product surveillance and lifecycle management of established products, offers, and promotions to support organizational and financial objectives.
- Act as a liaison and subject matter expert to internal clients and business units regarding products, services, promotions, offers, and associated technical capabilities.
- Provide regular leadership readouts and presentations regarding assigned products, promotions, project status, risks, dependencies, and key decisions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal clients, IT partners, and cross-functional business teams while maintaining frequent communication in a highly collaborative remote environment.

Expected Hours of Work:
- Monday through Friday, averaging 40 hours per week.
- May work remotely from any U.S. time zone, with frequent daily collaboration across the United States.
Job Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field preferred.
- PMP, CAPM, Scrum, Agile, Product Management, or a comparable certification preferred, but not required when equivalent industry, technical, product, and stakeholder-management experience is demonstrated.
Experience:
- 5+ years of IT, technical product, product lead, delivery management, or comparable experience in a complex enterprise environment.
- Entertainment industry experience strongly preferred, especially in video, streaming, television, telecommunications, broadband, wireless, mobility, or comparable consumer technology environments.
- Experience working between Marketing or business teams and IT to gather, analyze, document, refine, and communicate technical and functional requirements.
- Experience managing products, offers, promotions, services, or technical capabilities from development through implementation and ongoing lifecycle management.
- Experience leading cross-functional requirements gathering, stakeholder alignment, technical solutioning, approval, and delivery activities.
- Hands-on experience in Agile environments and with project or product management tools, including JIRA and/or JIRA Align.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Power BI or a comparable reporting and data-visualization tool.
- Experience with enterprise Agile and PI Planning environments.
- Experience analyzing and reporting market, product, operational, or performance data.
- Experience in client-facing, internal consulting, cross-functional stakeholder, or vendor-management environments
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of PEGA Customer Decision Hub, Decisioning, and Prediction Studio.
- Knowledge of retail or call center CRM systems, such as Oracle, Salesforce, and Clarify, and the ability to validate that decisioning logic and offers display as expected.
- Ability to create clear business and technical requirements, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, and process documentation.
- Strong understanding of product development and lifecycle management, including launches, enhancements, promotions, offers, rate changes, and maintenance.
- Ability to communicate with architects, engineers, developers, technical managers, business partners, and senior leaders, translating complex information for the intended audience.
- Strong presentation, facilitation, stakeholder-management, relationship-building, influencing, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage a heavy workload, lead multiple complex workstreams, adapt to changing priorities, and deliver with limited direction.
- Self-directed, organized, detail-oriented, resourceful, flexible, and collaborative.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with marketing databases, digital and orchestration technologies such as Adobe, Pega, and Unica.
- Familiarity with SQL, SAS, or a similar data-analysis language used to validate transactions, identify trends, and investigate decisioning logic.
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow and the ability to read and understand XML transactions used to validate API requests and responses.
- Ability to quickly learn customer care, ordering, billing, product configuration, and related enterprise systems.
- Ability to work effectively with geographically dispersed teams and operate independently while collaborating closely with the Technical Product Management team and broader partners.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- DIRECTV and/or AT&T U-verse billing, ordering, product, or system experience, or equivalent experience with comparable platforms.
- Working knowledge of C3, STMS, Enabler, Evergent, ETM, LS-CRM, OMS, Online, Salesforce, or comparable ordering, billing, CRM, catalog, or front-end systems.
- Advanced Excel skills, including analysis of complex data sets to support product or business decisions.
