POSITION SUMMARY

As an Aggregate Sales Manager, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  1. Work closely with the Area Operations Manager to enhance effectiveness and share efficiency improvements across all areas.
  2. Place safety at the forefront of all activities, leading by example and actively promoting safe practices.
  3. Gain a clear understanding of customer quality requirements and communicating these expectations to forepersons and Quality Control staff.
  4. Monitor and interpret Quality Control reports, making necessary process adjustments to ensure production of material meets specifications.
  5. Actively seek opportunities to quote new work, focusing on both strengthening the current market position and pursuing new customers and markets.
  6. Spend time in the field with crews to support the development of organizational, planning, and motivational skills.
  7. Build strong relationships with key customers to ensure fair pricing and product satisfaction, providing detailed communication to maintain mutual understanding.
  8. Apply leadership skills to help develop and improve the team.
  9. Collaborate with the Area Operations Manager to maintain and adjust mine plans as necessary for optimal performance.
  10. Support the Safety Department to ensure compliance with current rules and regulations and assist in the implementation of new safety initiatives.
  11. Analyze site and area performance to track operational costs and sales margins, reviewing these metrics with head sales managers on a quarterly basis.


This is a full-time exempt position and travel is required.

Position Requirements:
  1. Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in civil, mining or construction engineering; construction management or another construction-related curriculum; geology; or manufacturing process and design
  2. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  3. Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  4. Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  6. Strong problem solving skills
