PT Full Bookkeeper
Responsibilities:
• Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including entering invoices, issuing vendor payments, updating supplier information, and reviewing purchase order activity.
• Oversee accounts receivable functions by setting up customer accounts, preparing invoices, posting payments, handling deposits, and reconciling credit card transactions.
• Process weekly payroll for a small employee population, including time entry, commission payments, reimbursements, garnishments, and related payroll tax obligations.
• Perform routine bookkeeping tasks such as bank reconciliations, credit card balancing, intercompany account tracking, and monitoring business expenses and assets.
• Prepare and submit required filings and year-end documentation, including sales tax reports, payroll-related filings, W-2s, 1099s, benefits reporting forms, and annual reports.
• Maintain organized employee and office records, support onboarding documentation, and assist with benefits and general administrative coordination as needed.
• Create and manage job and customer files, track labor hours, issue purchase orders to manufacturers, and follow up on product delivery status.
• Assist with operational recordkeeping such as inventory monitoring, vehicle or license-related documentation, toll account tracking, and local rental reporting.
• Work closely with the external accounting partner by providing monthly financial information and applying adjusting entries as directed.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of bookkeeping or general accounting experience in a small business or similarly hands-on environment.• Practical experience using QuickBooks, with the ability to maintain accurate financial data and support ongoing accounting activity.
• Strong working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations.
• Experience processing payroll for a workforce under 100 employees, including taxes, reimbursements, and related deductions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and confidence working with detailed financial records and reports.
• Ability to manage responsibilities independently, stay organized, and maintain consistency in a part-time schedule of 16–20 hours per week.
• Comfortable handling a combination of accounting, recordkeeping, and administrative tasks with attention to accuracy and follow-through.
