Anti-Money Laundering (AML)Analyst

Denver, CO 80202, US Temporary
Compensation: $30 to $35 Hourly

We are looking for AML Analysts to support financial crime compliance activities through careful review of transaction alerts and well-reasoned risk assessments. This Long-term Contract position is based in Denver, Colorado, and is ideal for someone who brings strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and experience working in regulated financial environments. The person in this role will help evaluate potentially unusual activity, document findings thoroughly, and contribute to timely escalation decisions in line with compliance expectations.


Responsibilities:

• Examine Level 1 alerts to identify unusual or potentially suspicious financial activity and assess the level of risk presented.

• Decide when alert activity warrants referral for deeper investigation based on established compliance guidelines and sound judgment.

• Support the identification of matters that may require suspicious activity reporting by gathering relevant facts and summarizing key concerns.

• Review transactional and customer-related information to detect patterns, inconsistencies, or red flags tied to financial crime risk.

• Document investigative steps, observations, and conclusions in a clear and organized manner for audit and compliance purposes.

• Conduct research across available sources to strengthen case analysis while following applicable regulatory standards and internal policies.

• Partner with compliance and risk stakeholders as needed to ensure alert reviews are completed accurately and within expected timeframes.


Qualifications:

• Experience in financial analysis, compliance, risk review, or financial crime investigation within a regulated environment.
• Working knowledge of anti-money laundering practices, suspicious activity reporting, and Know Your Customer principles.
• Ability to evaluate data carefully, identify potential concerns, and make sound escalation decisions.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce concise and accurate case documentation.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple reviews efficiently while maintaining quality.
• Familiarity with regulatory expectations related to AML and financial crimes compliance.
• Proficiency in researching account activity and interpreting information from multiple data points.

Compensation

$30.00-$35.00 Hourly
