HR Director - Contract Onsite

Robert Half HR Solutions is currently sourcing for a contract HR Director who can work onsite in Gainesville GA.. This role will guide HR operations, talent priorities, employee relations, and compliance efforts while serving as a trusted advisor to business leadership. The position requires a hands-on leader who can strengthen organizational effectiveness, support workforce planning, and build scalable HR practices that align with operational goals. The ideal HR Director will have high EQ, demonstrate leadership through change, and be able to guide through uncertainty.

Responsibilities:

• Advise senior leadership on workforce strategy, organizational priorities, and people-related decisions that support business performance.

• Evaluate team and leadership effectiveness, provide coaching, and drive accountability for performance and people management standards.

• Partner with site and functional leaders on structure planning, succession planning, staffing decisions, and change management initiatives.

• Analyze workforce metrics and employment trends to identify risks, recommend solutions, and support informed decision-making.

• Lead and develop the HR team across locations by setting priorities, clarifying ownership, and establishing strong service expectations.

• Manage complex employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective action, conflict resolution, performance concerns, and terminations.

• Ensure HR policies and employment practices remain compliant with federal, state, and local regulations while reducing organizational risk.

• Oversee recruiting, onboarding, retention, talent development, and succession efforts to strengthen current and future workforce capabilities.

• Provide governance for compensation, benefits, payroll, and related employee programs to promote accuracy, compliance, and market competitiveness.

• Drive HR technology improvements, process optimization, documentation standards, and data quality initiatives to improve consistency and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of progressive human resources experience, including leadership responsibility in a senior HR role.
• Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, HR administration, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
• Strong background in compensation, benefits, and oversight of employee programs and HR operations.
• Proven ability to coach leaders, influence business decisions, and manage organizational change effectively.
• Experience handling sensitive workplace matters, investigations, and high-risk employment situations with sound judgment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret workforce data and translate insights into practical action.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively across leadership and employee groups.

Compensation

$60.00-$63.00 Hourly
