Accounting Specialist
We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day financial operations for a furniture retail business in Noblesville, Indiana. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-focused, and comfortable managing both payables and receivables in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will help maintain accurate records, process transactions efficiently, and contribute to the smooth handling of accounting activities across the business.
Responsibilities:
• Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and prepare payments within established timelines.
• Record customer payments, reconcile outstanding balances, and follow up on open receivables as needed.
• Enter financial data accurately into accounting systems and maintain organized transaction records.
• Assist with invoice handling by checking billing details, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring proper documentation.
• Reconcile account information regularly to help maintain accurate financial reporting.
• Communicate with internal teams and external contacts to address payment questions and clarify account issues.
Qualifications:
• Experience supporting accounting operations with a focus on accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage invoice processing tasks efficiently while maintaining organized records.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting procedures, reconciliations, and financial documentation.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and vendors.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven setting.
Compensation
