Our client is looking for a Power Analyst, Senior Power Analyst to support power resource financial operations and analytical reporting in Stowe, Vermont. This role partners closely with accounting and operational stakeholders to review transaction activity, develop budget and rate support materials, and maintain reliable financial models used for planning. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insight.


Responsibilities:

• Coordinate financial and operational data exchanges with regional market organizations and external counterparties to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

• Review and reconcile monthly activity with partner entities, then prepare billing support and related documentation for the Accounting Department.

• Contribute to long-range resource and financial planning by assisting with forecasts, scenario analysis, and other analytical projects.

• Develop and update power budgets, audit support schedules, recurring resource reports, and documentation for regulatory or rate-related filings under leadership guidance.

• Maintain, refine, and validate the assumptions that drive financial models and analytical outputs.

• Examine power supply costs for accuracy and confirm that expense allocations are properly distributed across member systems and contracted parties.

• Provide analytical support to the Manager of Power Resources and collaborate with internal teams on reporting needs and special assignments as priorities evolve.


Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis or a related analytical role.
• Demonstrated skill in financial analysis, including ad hoc evaluation of business and operational data.
• Hands-on experience building or maintaining financial models to support planning and decision-making.
• Ability to perform variance analysis and identify key drivers affecting budgets, forecasts, and actual results.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to reconcile transactions and verify data accuracy across multiple sources.
• Proficiency in preparing clear financial reports, support schedules, and analytical documentation.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with accounting staff, managers, and external business contacts.

Compensation

$70,000.00-$110,000.00 Yearly
