Customer Service Representative

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join a wholesale distribution team in Irving, Texas on a Contract basis. This role focuses on keeping orders moving efficiently, communicating clearly with vendors and internal partners, and providing dependable support to both customers and sales staff. The ideal candidate is organized, service-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities:
• Monitor purchase orders and provide timely updates on order progress and delivery timelines.
• Work with vendors to accelerate pending orders and relay important shipment information to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Record detailed and accurate notes from supplier interactions to maintain clear documentation of status changes and follow-up needs.
• Assist the sales team with product sourcing, quote support, and ongoing order-related communication.
• Research item availability and identify suitable products to help support customer pricing requests.
• Use internal systems to manage quotes, track order activity, and maintain visibility into vendor communications.
• Respond to inbound and outbound customer service inquiries with professionalism and urgency.
• Perform general administrative and office support duties to help maintain smooth daily operations.

Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to share information clearly and effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail, including consistent and accurate documentation.
• Comfortable learning new technology and working within software platforms used for order and quote tracking.
• Demonstrated customer service mindset with a courteous and attentive approach.
• Ability to organize competing priorities, manage follow-up tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Prior experience in customer service, order management, sales support, sourcing, procurement, or quoting is preferred.
• Background supporting a sales team or handling high-volume call activity is an advantage.

Compensation

$18.21-$21.09 Hourly
