Accounting Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support coupon reconciliation and administrative accounting tasks for a retail operation in Kailua, Hawaii. This is a Contract position suited for someone who is comfortable working with reports, spreadsheets, and confidential records while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Responsibilities:

• Examine coupon submissions and supporting reports from various store locations to ensure records are complete and accurate.

• Compare reported figures against spreadsheets and store documentation to confirm consistency across sources.

• Prepare and verify coupon total calculations for internal tracking and reporting purposes.

• Investigate mismatched figures or incomplete submissions and communicate issues to the appropriate contacts for resolution.

• Keep reconciliation files, supporting paperwork, and related records organized for easy reference and audit readiness.

• Assist with administrative duties such as filing, document handling, and secure disposal of sensitive materials.

• Provide day-to-day clerical support to the accounting team as needed to help maintain efficient operations.

Qualifications:

• Strong accuracy skills with close attention to numerical detail.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for reviewing, organizing, and validating data.
• Ability to cross-check information across multiple reports, spreadsheets, and documents.
• Solid organizational and time-management skills in a part-time support role.
• Sound judgment when working with confidential financial or business information.
• Previous experience in administrative support, clerical work, data entry, or a similar office-based function.
• Ability to work dependably with minimal supervision and follow established procedures.

Compensation

$16.63-$19.25 Hourly
