Sr. Accountant
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations and help maintain accurate, timely financial reporting for the organization in Dallas, Texas. This role is well suited for an organized individual who enjoys owning key close activities, working across multiple accounting functions, and collaborating with business partners to keep financial data reliable. Candidates coming from either public accounting or industry environments are welcome, provided they bring strong technical accounting skills and a practical, team-focused approach.
Responsibilities:
• Lead critical month-end close activities, ensuring financial results are recorded accurately and completed within established deadlines.
• Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger across assigned accounts and reporting areas.
• Perform detailed account and bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items in a timely manner.
• Support consolidation processes by gathering, reviewing, and aligning financial information from multiple entities or business units.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable accounting tasks to help ensure complete and accurate recording of transactions.
• Monitor treasury-related activity, including cash movements and related accounting entries, to support proper financial reporting.
• Review financial records for accuracy and compliance, identifying areas that require correction, clarification, or process improvement.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to provide accounting support, answer questions, and help strengthen day-to-day financial operations.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with a background in either public accounting, industry accounting, or a combination of both.• Strong hands-on experience with month-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries and review of supporting documentation.
• Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation practices.
• Experience completing bank reconciliations and researching variances to resolution.
• Working knowledge of consolidation activities and intercompany or multi-entity accounting concepts.
• Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes within a corporate accounting environment.
• High level of accuracy, organization, and accountability, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative work style that supports strong team and cross-functional relationships.
