Human Resources (HR) Assistant
Responsibilities:
• Manage employee leave cases from initial request through resolution, ensuring each matter is handled accurately and within established guidelines.
• Evaluate documentation and eligibility for various leave programs while maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Partner with employees, managers, and external providers to coordinate timelines, status updates, and required paperwork related to absences.
• Maintain accurate employee data in HRIS and payroll systems, including updates connected to leave, benefits, and related status changes.
• Support benefits administration activities by assisting with enrollments, changes, questions, and issue resolution for employees.
• Prepare reports, track case activity, and use Excel to organize information, monitor deadlines, and identify outstanding items.
• Respond to employee inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality, providing clear guidance on leave and benefits processes.
• Assist with ongoing HR administrative tasks and contribute to process improvements, including work tied to HR system or workflow changes when needed.
Qualifications:
• Experience supporting human resources operations with a focus on leave administration, benefits, or employee records management.• Working knowledge of HRIS platforms; experience with UKG Pro is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with benefits coordination, compensation and benefits processes, and general HR administration practices.
• Ability to manage sensitive employee information with discretion and maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking, organizing, and reporting HR-related data.
• Strong communication and employee relations skills with the ability to interact effectively across multiple levels of the organization.
• Detail-oriented approach with solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
