Our client, a prominent law firm, is seeking an Attorney to support clients with estate planning and trust and estate administration matters. This role works closely with individuals, families, fiduciaries, and business owners to create thoughtful legal strategies tailored to complex personal and financial objectives. The position offers the chance to build lasting client relationships while partnering with a collaborative legal team on sophisticated planning and administration work.


Location: Needham, MA

Salary: $100,000 - $160,000 (depending on experience) + great benefits

Schedule: In Office M-F


Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on estate planning strategies designed to preserve wealth, address family goals, and support long-term asset transfer objectives.
  • Prepare and refine a range of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related instruments aligned with client needs.
  • Guide fiduciaries and beneficiaries through trust and estate administration matters, ensuring legal obligations are handled accurately and efficiently.
  • Counsel individuals and business owners on transfer tax considerations and planning approaches that reflect their financial circumstances.
  • Oversee the settlement process for estates and trusts, including reviewing assets, coordinating distributions, and resolving administration issues.
  • Work directly with clients to assess personal, family, and business priorities and translate them into practical legal solutions.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and other professionals across the firm to deliver well-rounded advice on complex planning and administration matters.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar in good standing.
  • 2 or more years of relevant experience in estate planning, estate administration, trusts, elder law, etc.
  • Strong drafting and legal research skills.
  • Experience preparing estate planning documents and/or handling estate and trust administration matters.
  • Strong understanding of Massachusetts estate planning and probate laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters independently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a client-service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Compensation

$100,000.00-$160,000.00 Yearly
