Accounts Payable Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Review and enter a high volume of vendor invoices with close attention to accuracy and deadlines
• Compare purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices to confirm billing details before processing
• Investigate payment or pricing discrepancies by working with vendors and cross-functional internal teams
• Coordinate weekly payment cycles, including check processing and electronic disbursements
• Maintain up-to-date vendor profiles and supporting documentation in alignment with company guidelines
• Apply proper account coding to invoices to support accurate financial reporting
• Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding items to keep accounts current
Qualifications:
• Experience working in accounts payable or a closely related accounting support role• Knowledge of invoice processing, account coding, and payment procedures
• Ability to manage large transaction volumes while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Familiarity with matching invoices to purchase orders and receiving records
• Strong problem-solving skills for resolving billing discrepancies and vendor issues
• Proficiency with standard accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Strong organizational and communication skills when working with vendors and internal departments
